Austrian serial national champion Florian Nüßle (Snooker Bulls Salzburg) wins his opening match against former professional Craig Steadman (ENG) with a score of 5-2 at the Global Q Tour Playoff, the season finale of the WPBSA Q Tour 2023/24, held during the EBSA European Snooker Championship in Sarajevo. However, in the semifinals, despite a strong start and a 3-0 lead, he is stopped one game away from the coveted Main Tour ticket by Welshman Duane Jones with a score of 3-6.
Another chance to secure a two-year World Snooker Tour card and thus a place in the coveted circle of snooker professionals comes from March 18th, also in Sarajevo, as the battle for the title of the 2024 EBSA European Snooker Champion unfolds.
