The snooker and billiards community mourns the loss of their longtime companion Franz Starhan, who passed away in the night of May 2, 2024, at the age of 52 after bravely enduring a long and serious illness.
Franz was an enthusiastic snooker and English billiards player and an excellent referee in both disciplines. Furthermore, he took on various roles as a dedicated helper in his home club, HSEBC, as well as in the Austrian and Viennese snooker and billiards association, most recently serving as the disciplinary body of first instance for the ÖSBV.
Above all, Franz Starhan leaves behind a great void in our community as an always pleasant colleague and a person who always acted with respect.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to the relatives and wish them strength during this difficult time.
