Thomas Janzso reinforces his ambitions to finish the current season as the overall rankings leader with his first Grand Prix victory of the season, where he delivered two century clearances, including the tournament’s highest break.
With Austria’s first professional Main Tour player, Florian Nüßle, set to withdraw from domestic competitions upon entering the WST season, the race for the number one spot in the Austrian Snooker League rankings has become more competitive than ever.

Janzso, fresh off his ÖSBV Shoot-out championship win, claimed the latest Grand Prix title at Köö 7 in Vienna, the home venue of the 15 Reds, by defeating Mario Bodlos from TSG Graz 4:2 in the final in which referee Christian Fock officiated. In his opening match against Severin Grösslinger (Snookerbulls) from Salzburg, Janzso produced two century breaks, including the tournament’s highest break, a clearance of 118 points.

Oskar Charlesworth (HSEBC), winner of two of the previous three season events, secured third place by narrowly defeating Paul Schopf from PSSC Wels 4:3 in the third-place playoff, with Franz Meszaros officiating. The tournament director for both days was Florian Schidla from the 15 Reds.

The fifth event of the Austrian Snooker League’s top tier will be held on June 21-22 at the SCAH in Heidenreichstein, Lower Austria, which recently upgraded its venue with a fifth tournament table.
The updated rankings will be published after the conclusion of the fourth round of the Austrian Snooker League 2025 events this coming weekend.
