With his second win of the season, this time at the split Grand Prix held in Salzburg and Wels, where the final day also took place, Oskar Charlesworth narrows the gap to ranking leader Florian Nüßle, who did not compete due to international commitments.

In the final of the third tournament of the season, the Viennese player managed to keep his clubmate Thomas Janzso at bay with a 4:2 victory. The new third place in the rankings is ÖSBV youngster Lukas Stötzer, who, although he lost to the eventual winner in the quarterfinals of his home tournament, was able to break into the Top 3 of the Austrian Snooker League rankings for the first time in his young career thanks to a shared fifth-place finish.

Third place went to Paul Schopf (PSSC), operator of the final day’s venue in Wels, who defeated Josef Wimmer from SCBS 4:1 in the match for the last spot on the podium. The highest break of the tournament was made by winner Charlesworth with a run of 89 points, followed by several more breaks over the 50-point mark.

The fourth tournament of the top division will be hosted by the 15 Reds at Köö 7 in Vienna on May 17–18.
