Oskar Charlesworth of HSEBC Vienna won his first Austrian National Snooker Championship title in the Open Category. In the final, the 25-year-old from Vienna defeated his club teammate Thomas Janzso 5-4. The bronze medal also went to an HSEBC player, Philipp Koch.

On 10 January 2026, the four qualifiers who had earned their spots at the Austrian National Snooker Championship 2025 through the Qualifier event last November gathered at the Austrian Snooker and Billiards Academy in Vienna as part of the ÖSBV Finals. After eight consecutive titles by Florian Nüßle – now active on the professional Main Tour – a new National Champion was to be crowned.

In the semi-finals, two of the three HSEBC finalists prevailed. The top-ranked player of the past season, Oskar Charlesworth, won his best-of-seven match 4-2 against Paul Schopf (PSSC). His clubmate Thomas Janzso secured his place in the final with a 4-1 victory over Philipp Koch (HSEBC).
