Oskar Charlesworth successfully defends his ranking lead at the penultimate Grand Prix of the 2025 Austrian Snooker League and thus goes into the season finale on October 11 & 12 in Graz as the favorite for the title of Player of the Year.
A total of 16 athletes from nine clubs across five provinces competed at the BSLZ Salzburg, the home venue of the Snooker Bulls – with the entire Top 10 present this time. And the HSEBC not only showed strong presence in the current rankings, but also turned the final day in Salzburg into an internal affair for the Vienna-based club.
In addition to tournament winner Charlesworth, Thomas Janzso, Emil Becker and Philipp Koch also qualified for the two semifinals. After a 2-4 loss to Charlesworth, Koch ultimately secured third place with a commanding 4-0 victory over Emil Becker, who had previously lost a very close semi-final match 3-4 to Janzso.
Top seed Oskar Charlesworth defeated Thomas Janzso 4-2 in the final, officiated by Alexander Stadler (EBSA Class-3 Referee), and delivered the tournament’s highest break with a century of 104 points in the opening frame of the match.

The season finale will take place on October 11 & 12 at Top Snooker Graz (TSG). With Oskar Charlesworth leading the rankings, Thomas Janzso now in second place, and ÖSBV talent Lukas Stötzer – who was stopped in the quarterfinals by Janzso this time – three athletes enter the decisive event with theoretical chances of becoming the best player of the 2025 season.
The new rankings after Round 6 will be published following the regional Challenge Qualifier events on October 4, but here is already a preview of the upcoming Top 10.
